We are committed to reducing our environmental impacts and to this end, we have implemented and maintain a robust chain of custody management system to meet the requirements of the standards specified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC®) and the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC).
The aim of our Chain of Custody system is to ensure the unbroken path of responsibly managed timber-based materials from the forest to the consumer. Our Chain of Custody management system ensures that FSC and PEFC certified materials are fully traceable while in our ownership. FSC or PEFC certified timber products will be promoted to customers wherever possible.
Furthermore, we ensure that all producst we supply conform with applicable legality legislation.
Green Tree Timber Ltd ensure that its policies and processes prevent child or forced labour and allow for freedom of association, collective bargaining, equal opportunities and fair treatment of all personnel, customers, suppliers and other stakeholders.

The UK Timber Regulation was implemented in 1st January 2021 and has been put in place to stop illegal timber entering the UK.
Green Tree Timber Ltd purchase stock that has been customs cleared in the UK. Because of this, we are recognised as a 'Trader'. Our obligation is to ensure our Suppliers have performed their Due Dilligence with regards to UKTR and that all relevant UKTR paperwork is available upon request.
